Our program is based in the framework of the Competency Outcomes and Performance Assessment (COPA) Model developed by Dr. Carrie Lenburg. In her writings, Dr. Lenburg emphasizes that students must know what is expected of them in order to meet the expectations of designated competency outcomes. The use of rubrics is highly encouraged as a method to assure that students understand the expectations of performance. For this course, the rubric will have a two-fold purpose. It will be provided to the students at the beginning of the module so that they will be aware of the performance expectations and as a reminder of salient points of the tutorial. When students complete their choice of websites from the curated list, faculty will evaluate their accuracy using the rubric. Here's what it includes.
